A welcome addition to the DC Extended Universe. (No spoilers included)
The DC comic book Shazam! was adapted and released in 2019 in cinemas Worldwide. The film was a welcome alternative to the traditional superhero franchise films we have all come to know and grown to love over the years.
Shazam! is based around 14-year-old Billy Batson and his unsuspecting call to greatness he found within himself through the help of an ancient wizard, Shazam.
With the sequel Shazam 2 - Fury of the Gods being released in 2023, die-hard Shazam! Fans need something to soothe their superhero fix!|
Luckily, bridging the gap and whetting the appetite of those DC super fans is the release of Black Adam, a spin-off from Shazam!
In Cinemas now, Black adam is set in ancient Kahndaq; Teth Adam was bestowed the almighty powers of the gods by an ancient Egyptian god, Ahk Ton.
After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000 years later, Black Adam or (Mighty Adam) has gone from Man to Myth to Legend.
Now free, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern-day heroes who form the Justice Society: Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, and starring the infamous Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Adrianna Tomaz, as Isis you know it's going to be a real blockbuster!
